Prior to launching The Story Division, Steve Osgoode spent 4 years as the President & Publisher of Joe Books Ltd, an independent publisher that held extensive licensing relationships with Disney, NBC-Universal, and CBS Consumer Products. Under Steve’s leadership, Joe Books created innovative new products and series for the most valuable properties in the world, including Disney Princess, Disney Frozen, Dreamworks Trolls, Marvel Spider-Man and Star Wars. The company also launched significant retail initiatives with Walmart, Target and Costco, including an exclusive product line with Hasbro.
Previously Steve served as VP, Digital Product at HarperCollins Canada where he spent 16 years in sales, marketing, business development and product development roles. He oversaw multiple consumer product launches, including the HC podcast network and HarperAudio Canada.
Jody is widely known as the owner and operator of one of Canada’s premiere audio production companies, Silent Joe. In late 2018, Jody joined forces with music production company Grayson Matthews to form The Wilders Music Group. This Toronto-based company writes, arranges and produces music and voice for film, television, interactive and online content, including podcasts and webseries.
Jody and Silent Joe have been voted top audio production house in Canada three times, won every major award, including craft awards for Arrangement, Sound Design, and Composition. Over his thirty-year career, notable credits include work for Netflix, Amazon Studios, Entertainment One, NBC-Universal, CBS, CTV, and CBC.
Steffie is an experienced editor and project manager who specializes in translating world-recognizable properties into bestselling publishing products. Her editorial experience and her expertise in liaising with key licensors have lead to the creation of innovative brand expansions, including a major pop star's middle grade graphic novels, innovative audio content featuring top personalities, and adaptations of top franchises.
Steffie has managed dozens of projects from conception through every stage of development for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, NBC-Universal, Nickelodeon, and more, and has overseen book packages for partners including PRH/M&S, Abrams, Scholastic, Target, and Costco. She joins The Story Division from Joe Books.
Also joining from Joe Books, Niko designed 30+ projects per year while performing comic art duties on multiple titles. Previously, Niko worked in graphic design, illustration, storyboarding and video-editing for advertising and marketing companies in their native Brazil.
